With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas H. Cosimini, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on February 26, 2025, just two days shy of his 73rd birthday. Born on February 28, 1952, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Thomas made his home in Agawam, Massachusetts, where he touched the lives of many.
Thomas was the cherished son of Henry Cosimini and June Bapiste. He proudly served in the Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Private 2nd Class, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country.
In his professional life, Thomas worked as a Maintenance Manager for Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam, where his caring nature and strong work ethic were evident. He was a true gentleman, always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him, whether it was clearing snow off his neighbors' cars or carrying in their groceries. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds.
Thomas was a devoted father to his two children, Celeste Nai and Stephen and wife Kristy Adams, and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Drake and the late Sarah. He is also survived by his significant other Linda Minor, his ex-wife Ruth Cosimini and her husband Larry Taylor. his siblings, Bruce Cosimini and wife Gina (deceased), Mark Cosimini and wife Martina, Celeste Letourneau and husband Pete (deceased), Paul Cosimini and wife Ellen, and John Cosimini and wife Dawn. His legacy will continue through his grandkids: Christopher, Kody, Jordyn, Rylan, Brooklyn, his nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Marc, Lily, Matt, Keith, Seth, and Deidre. He was predeceased by his parents, and grandchildren Kiera and Christian.
An avid handyman, Thomas had a passion for locksmithing and took great joy in tinkering with his R.C. helicopter and car. He was a true sports enthusiast, with a particular fondness for sports cars. Yet, above all, his greatest love was for his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be held dear in their hearts.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Agawam Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Home Service with Military Honors.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff and care team at Baystate Medical Center and the Holyoke Medical Center for their compassionate care during Thomas's final days.
In honor of Thomas's memory, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the MS Foundation, organizations that reflect his caring spirit and desire to help others.
