Obituary

Thomas J Conlin, 85, devoted and loving husband, father, brother, and friend passed away and was able to be freed of his pain at his home in Feeding Hills on April 26,2026.

He was an avid reader, accomplished artist, sculpture, wood carver, amateur magician and enjoyed flying his self created paper rubber band airplanes in addition to a host of other unique interests.

He was born in Springfield to the late Thomas L. and Jeanne (Desrosiers) Conlin on August 10, 1940. His family relocated to Agawam where he attend local schools and embarked on a remarkable career as a rubber die hand engraver at City Stamp Works in West Springfield.

He and his wife Pat (Patrica Pinkos) wed in 1964 and remained in Feeding Hills for the past 61 plus years.

Early on in his 85 years Tom discovered a love for tennis and long distance running, later settling into competitive running up to a short time prior to his illness.

Tom influenced a number of local and current runners with his experiences and remains most proud of beloved protégé seven-year-old Zachary Meisenhelder and Zach's father Glen.

Tom survived his first dog Henry and now leaves Shadow and Jack Henry who will sorely miss him.

Surviving Tom are his beloved wife Pat and their children, Gary Conlin and Ellen Conlin and her wife, Michelle Haska. He also leaves his loving siblings Alice Olsen, Daniel Conlin his wife Janice, and Mary Roy. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends, especially from the running community.

Visitation with his family will be held Tuesday May 5,2026 at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street beginning at 10 A.M. concluding at 11:30 A.M. with a funeral home service to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to Thomas J O'Connor Animal Adoption Center, 627 Cottage St, Springfield, MA 01104 or the St. Labrie Indian School, Ashland, Montana 59004.
