Obituary

With deep love and profound sadness, the family of Therese (Teri) Liebel announces her passing on November 15, 2025. Surviving Teri to carry on her legacy are her devoted daughter Danielle, her son-in-law Ian, and her cherished grandchildren, Patrick and Connor, who were her greatest joy. She will be greatly missed by her brother Stephen, sister Katherine, devoted cousin Rhea, and a large circle of family and friends. She is predeceased by her mother Clemence, father Nicholas, and brother Jamie.and former husband, Michael Liebel.

Teri was a gifted artist whose hands brought beauty into the world. As a talented seamstress and an endlessly creative soul, she approached quilting, knitting, and crochet with an imagination that lived far beyond the boundaries of any pattern. Her "out-of-the-box" ideas became heirlooms—pieces of art stitched with love, laughter, and a bit of her trademark spark.

A fiercely dedicated and loving mother and mémère, Teri poured her whole heart into her family. Her warmth could light a room, and her spirit—bright, funny, and unstoppable—made her the life of every gathering. She carried a saint for everything life could throw at her, transforming challenges into opportunities to show grace, humor, and resilience.

Teri's compassion extended far beyond her home. She devoted countless hours to organizations close to her heart, including Special Olympics, Miracle League of Western Massachusetts, and Jericho, the Bureau for Exceptional Children and Adults. Her presence in these communities was felt deeply—she showed up, she gave fully, and she made sure everyone she touched felt seen, valued, and celebrated.

A true friend, a cherished sister, and an extraordinary person, Teri was the kind of woman who would drop anything at a moment's notice to help someone in need. Her generosity was effortless, her loyalty unwavering.

Though her hands may be at rest, Teri's legacy will continue to surround us—woven into the quilts she created, living in the lives she uplifted, and carried in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Her light remains with us, guiding us with the same love and courage she showed every day.

Teri's story does not end here; it lives on in all of us.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to
