Obituary

Terry Lee Noes, 76, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully at the Veterans' Home in Holyoke on April 15, 2024.  Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 1, 1947, to Clifford and Ruth Noes, he spent his early years there graduating from Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Terry was a Vietnam Veteran proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1971.  He then chose a career working for the United States Postal Service in Hartford, CT where he held various positions until his retirement in 2009.  Terry enjoyed working on his home, doing yard work, traveling, and taking pictures and videos at family events.  Terry loved the challenge of playing board games and cards with family and friends.  He especially enjoyed soft serve ice cream and was a connoisseur of the best establishments in the area serving it.  Terry was a man of faith and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in West Springfield where he maintained the lawn and did yard work for many years.  He was a man who had great love for his family, God, and his friends.

Surviving Terry is his beloved wife, Jean, his devoted son Michael and his wife Katy of Westfield, his loving sisters Martha Waddell, Judy Goodwin and her husband Jim, and Jane Noes, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.  He also leaves his loving brother, Gary Noes, of Springfield, Oregon as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is predeceased by his parents, first wife, Judy, and brothers Clarence and Jerry.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street from 11:30-1 P.M. concluding with a funeral home service at 1 P.M.  Committal services with full military honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Agawam at 2 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Terry can be made to the Veterans' Home in Holyoke, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
