With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Hayslett, a cherished resident of Agawam, Massachusetts. Born on April 2, 1958, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Sandra left this world peacefully on August 25, 2024. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dear sister whose absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her.

Sandra united in marriage with her beloved husband, Gregory Hayslett, on November 10, 1984. Their relationship, built on a foundation of love and mutual respect, was a testament to the beauty of companionship.

A gifted homemaker, Sandra embraced a variety of hobbies that were not just pastimes, but integral parts of her life. She found solace in nature through hiking, kayaking, and fishing, and her creative spirit shone brightly in her watercolor paintings, photography, and crafting. Her passion for gardening was further nurtured as an active West Springfield Garden Club member. Additionally, her dedication to yoga reflected her quest for inner peace and tranquility, embodying her vibrant spirit and zest for life.

Sandra is survived by her devoted husband, Gregory, and their beloved children, Jacob, Emily, and Matthew. She was a nurturing grandmother to Amelia and a caring sister to Walter (Barbara) Grzebien. Her parents, Walter and Frieda Grzebien, preceded her in death.

Family, friends, and the broader Agawam community are invited to pay their respects at Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, Agawam, Massachusetts, 01001. Calling hours for family and friends will be Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM. A public wake will occur on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 9:30 AM, followed by a public funeral service at 10:30 AM. A committal service will follow at Springfield Street Cemetery, 1078 Springfield Street, Agawam, Massachusetts, 01030, at 11:30 AM.
