Obituary

Robert E. Forgette, a kind, gentle, and deeply loving man, entered eternal rest on May 9, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on May 27, 1954, in North Adams, he was the son of the late Aime and Nellie (Blanquart) Forgette. He spent his early years in North Adams, where he was raised and educated.

Robert continued his education and earned an advanced degree that led him to a meaningful career as a respiratory therapist. He was a valued member of the team at Vibra Health in Springfield, where he dedicated himself to caring for others with compassion and kindness.

Robert found joy in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed long drives, good food, trips to the beach, and especially visiting Fenway Park, a place that always brought him happiness. He was known for his caring nature, positive attitude, and unwavering willingness to help others whenever he could.

Above all else, Robert cherished his family and friends. He loved fiercely and gave endlessly to those around him. One of his greatest joys was his beloved granddaughter, Baylee, who lovingly called him "Papa." The bond they shared was truly special.

He is survived by his loving children, John Forgette and Eden Forgette; his son-in-law Josh Daggett; and their beautiful daughter, Baylee. He also leaves behind his devoted sister, Jeanette Saie, and her husband Mike Saie;  along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and his lifelong friends who were like family to him and loved him deeply. The friendships he built throughout his life were among his greatest treasures, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation with Robert's family will be held on May 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., concluding with a service beginning at 6:30 p.m.
