Robert "Bob" E. Connor, 82, of Agawam, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Bob was born in Springfield, MA to Robert D. and Irene (Daudelin) G. Connor on May 1, 1943. A lifelong resident of Agawam, Bob graduated from Agawam High School in 1961. He worked as a manager of Sweet Life/Cash and Carry in Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA until his retirement.

Bob found joy in the simple things: casting a line while fishing, relaxing with the History Channel and cheering on his favorite teams. He was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots and a true sports enthusiast with an incredible memory for statistics and historical facts.

He had a sharp, sarcastic wit that made everyone laugh. He shared a special, one-of-a-kind bond with each member of his family. Bob will be deeply missed and forever loved. He was especially cherished by his grandchildren, who adored him and lovingly called him "Poppy."

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Mary (Samel) Connor; his son, Kevin (Lisa) Connor, his daughter, Kelly (Kevin) Gleason and his 2 precious grandchildren, Sienna and Liam, all of Agawam. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Irene Connor.

Services will be held at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001 on Saturday, March 7, 20026. Calling hours will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a funeral home service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a mass card.
