Obituary

Robert Joseph Clark

January 7, 1939 – November 19, 2024

Robert Joseph Clark was a man of many passions and interests. Born in Springfield, MA he attended Technical High School and touched the lives of many with his infectious laughter and unending conversations- he had a friend everywhere he went. Robert was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in going Polish dancing with his wife Doreen, camping on Race Point, Cape Cod as well as Sebago Lake, Maine. He cherished these moments with his family and friends, the people who mattered most to him.

Robert served honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. His dedication to service was a testament to his character—resolute, generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Following his service, Robert found his calling as an HVAC technician with Hurley & David, Digital and then the Hampden County Sheriff's Office prior to retiring in 2004. He was a lifelong resident of Agawam where he resided for over 50 years. In his free time, Robert volunteered at the Holyoke Merry-Go -Round, pursued his unique hobby of milk bottle collecting, enjoyed playing cards and was proud to be on the sidelines cheering on all his children's sports activities.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Doreen Clark, his children Kevin, David (Tiffany) Clark, Joy (Johnathan) Sieklucki and Dennis (Karla) Clark. He also leaves behind his siblings Ruth Tinker, Joan Fydenkevez, and Chester (Debbie) Clark, along with his cherished grandchildren Sierra, Kylie, Carter, Chloe, Hannah, Dawson, Amelia, Ian, Brianna and Donovan. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Clark.
