Obituary

Richard J Wysocki passed away unexpectedly on May 10,2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Poland to the late Tadeusz and Janina (Wysocka) Wysocki on June 3, 1953, Richard and his family migrated to the Unites States when he was a young lad of ten years old. He became a resident of Agawam where he was raised and educated. Richard had a successful career in the grocery retail industry, retiring as a manager of the meat and fish department of Big Y after thirty-seven years as a valued member of the team. He wed the love of his life, Janet Barkal, in 1977 and together they welcomed their children, building a wonderful life and family environment. Richard enjoyed traveling, especially to beach destinations. He also found it relaxing to work around the house and never missed his daily walk. But most of all Richard looked forward to spending time with his cherished family. He was a gentle soul who loved his family immensely and his kindness knew no bounds. He will be forever missed and loved.

Surviving Richard is his devoted wife, Janet and his three beloved children: Mat, Zachery, and Jeannie Wysocki. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Barbara, Steve, Edward and Henry Wysocki as well as nicest, nephews and friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday May 17,2025 from 12:30 -2:00 P.M. at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street concluding with a service at 2 P.M.
