Peter R. Mutti, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025 with his family beside him. Born to the late Dante and Irene (Tatro) Mutti on February 26, 1937. He remained a lifelong resident of Agawam, Massachusetts. Peter served his country in the United States Air Force. He married the love of his life, Sandra Silverman, and they spent sixty-one wonderful years together. They jointly owned Atlas Auto Body over a span of forty years. He enjoyed his Harley Davidsons, golfing, and spending time working out in his garage. He had a keen sense of humor and often told hilarious stories. Peter was a man of great love and devotion, he was selfless and kind and will remain in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Surviving Peter, is his beloved wife Sandra, his two sons Robert of Feeding Hills, Richard and his wife Lisa of Winchendon and daughter Kimberly of Feeding Hills. He leaves his grandchildren Patrick, Joshua, Kayla, and Ian. He will be greatly missed by his brother Leo as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph, Alfred, Mary, Dante, and Ed.
Visitation with his family will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday May 7, 2025 for a 10:00 a.m. funeral home service followed by committal services with full military honors at 11:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
