Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Patricia A. Fattini entered eternal rest on Monday April 28,2025 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born in Springfield on March 17,1935 to the late Harold and Gertrude McDonald, she was raised there and attended local schools graduating from Commerce High School class of 1953. Patricia wed the love of her life, Richard in 1955, and they spent many wonderful years together until his passing in 2023. She was devoted to her family and created a loving home and instilled in her children her values for living a fulfilling life. Patricia had a natural talent for floral arranging and was a valued member of the staff at the Chez Josef and took immense pride in her own gardens. She had a passion for traveling with Europe being her favorite destination. She also enjoyed visiting the local casinos and was an avid Red Sox fan. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She looked forward to every occasion and savored every minute of the time she shared with them. She was a loving woman with a zest for life and a strong commitment to those she loved.
Surviving Patricia are her devoted daughters, Donna Carestia and her husband Louis, Cheryl Badger and her husband Michael and Linda Silk and her husband John. To carry on her legacy, she leaves her adored grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Matthew, Jaclyn, and Alex. She will be greatly missed by her loving sister Maureen Gentile and brother Robert McDonald as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved Richard and her sister Beverly Chapdelaine. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to all the staff on the C2 nurses station and her personal care aides at the Jewish Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to Patricia.
Family and friends will gather at St. Michael's Church 128 Maple Street in East Longmeadow for an 11:30 Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday May 5,2025. Private committal services will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Memorial donations may be made to the Dakin Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
