The family of the beloved Louise DiDonato announces her peaceful passing surrounded by the love and warmth of her family on December 22, 2025 at her residence in West Suffield, CT. Louise was born in Springfield on May 18, 1933 to the late Benjamin and Leona (Dion) Savelle where she spent her youth and gained her education. She spent 39 years happily married to her devoted Santi until his passing in 2012. Louise took immense pride in creating a loving, nurturing environment for her family where she instilled the values in life that were most important in her two sons. She was a gentle woman who loved her family with no bounds, looking forward to each moment spent with them. Louise sought solace in her religion and was devoted to her church. In her younger years, she enjoyed her visits to Florida spending time collecting seashells, each one a great treasure. She had a passion for shell crafts using her collection to create masterpieces that will forever be cherished by her family. Louise was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
Surviving Louise are her two loving sons: Peter Borkosky, and Daniel Borkosky and his wife Gail. To carry on her legacy, she leaves her grandchildren; Brenda, Brian, Jamie, Kelly, and great grandchildren; Annika, Elliot, Elena and Harrison. She also leaves her caring sister Helen Correia and husband Joseph, sister-in-law Joan Savelle, a small extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Savelle, and her daughter-in-law Marjorie Borkosky.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday December 31, 2025 from 9-10 AM. at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street concluding with a service beginning at 10. Committal will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
