Obituary

Lillian M. Gendron, beloved matriarch, entered eternal rest peacefully on January 5,2026 surrounded by the comfort of her family. Born in Springfield MA on May 28,1928 to the late Welly and Emma Roy, Lillian spent her youth and attended local schools in Springfield. She wed Girard H Gendron and together they began their journey and welcomed their family. Lillian took immense pride in her children being a consistent role model to instill in them the values she held to be successful in life. She created a nurturing loving home welcoming each day with a smile and thankful for what she had. Lillian also worked in the banking field for many years at the Valley Bank. In her leisure Lillians' greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, always happy to create a delicious meal for all to savor. She loved spending time at the beach, especially Cape Cod and in Florida. She also loved to go boating on Lake Congamond. Lillian was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan looking forward to each game. She was a spirited woman with boundless energy never letting age get in the way even driving at ninety-one years of age. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished.

Surviving Lillian are her loving sons, Gerald (Maureen), Ronald (Sharon), Alan (Patricia), Jon (Diane), and daughter-in-law Christine Gendron. To carry on her legacy she leaves her grandchildren, Kelly Clough, Kyle Gendron, Holly Smithies, Kurtis Gendron, Jill Atkin, Derek Gendron, Dirk Gendron, Tammi Gendron, Laken Gendron, Tanya Gendron, and eleven great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters Irene Levesque and Annette (Norman) Levesque as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Girard, son Raymond Gendron and brothers Bebe Roy, Leonard Roy, and Armand Roy.

Family and friends will gather for a liturgy of Christian Burial for Lillian at Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills on Saturday January 10,2026 at 10 A.M.  The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Agawam South Rehab for the amazing, loving care provided to Lillian.
