Keff T.
Lagoditz
November 20, 1949 – July 21, 2024
With great love and sadness, the family of Keff T. Lagoditz announces his peaceful passing surrounded by the comfort of his family on July 21, 2024. Born on November 20,1949 to the late Paul and Jeannette (Cardinale) Lagoditz, he was raised and educated in Springfield. Keff graduated from Classical High School class of 1967 and went on to receive his undergraduate and graduate degrees from WNEC. He had an esteemed and successful career as an educator at American International College as a professor in both business and management. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves for several years retiring as a second lieutenant. Keff was an early adopter of the then-burgeoning technology, computer science, culminating in the creation of his computer consulting business, DataTech, alongside his like minded friend. Always a man of abundant energy with an unending entrepreneurial spirit, he also held a realtor's license. Keff found the time and had the talent to be an auctioneer, a position for which he was well suited. He believed wholeheartedly in fully participating in life, including achieving a black belt in Taekwondo. Keff officiated both basketball and football for many years, demonstrating his morals of following rules. He took pride in his handwriting, developing his own take on calligraphy; any letter or card from him would be sure to have his signature flourish. Keff also enjoyed the finer things in life, loved a good bourbon and was a member of the Connecticut Wine Society. Above all Keff found immense pleasure in spending time with his family and looked forward to every opportunity to be with them. He was a man who gave everything he attempted his best effort without reserve and was successful at whatever endeavors he chose to pursue. He touched many along the way, was greatly loved and respected and will remain in their hearts forever.
Surviving Keff are his devoted son Nicholas and his partner Jessica Woods, and his beloved sister Melissa and her husband Ray Guillemette Jr. He will be deeply missed by his loving nephews Michael Cortese and his wife Brittany, and Joseph Cortese and his partner Katie Cummings, as well as extended family and countless friends.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday July 26, 2024, from 12:30 P.M. until 2 P.M., at which time a service will begin. Immediately following, committal services will be held at Springfield Street Cemetery in Agawam.
