Born in Barre Vermont, Kathy was the eldest of seven children born to Rudolph and Elizabeth Hebert. In her youth, Kathy was a promising ballerina, with a focus on the Pointe technique and won many accolades for her dance talents.
Being the 1st born in a large family, she was often caretaker and also role model to her younger siblings. After graduating from Enfield High School, she relocated to California where she and her 1st husband, Paul Earnest, began their life. After tragedy struck, she became a widow and young single mother to her 2 boys. She relocated to New England with the family on Lake Congamond in Southwick where she began to rebuild her life.
It is there that they enjoyed the lake life and all it had to offer. Great party times with family and friends on the patio overlooking the lake, dancing to the musical talents of her brother's George on vocals and guitar and Tom on drums.
Boating was a passion and she was a great water skier. Living the lake life is also where she met Joseph Lombardi, Sr. and together they built the blended family she lovingly devoted her life to.
She obtained her cosmetology license and ran her successful hair dressing salon in their beautiful, raised ranch built in Feeding Hills. It is there that they raised their 4 children together, hosting pool parties and bonfires and created some memorable screenhouse gatherings. Kathy loved her time in the screen house, and all were welcome, everyone became family once they entered her beautiful home. Kathy was also known for her famous meatballs and boy did she make the best
She had a special place in her heart for her animals, specifically dogs. There is a beautiful statuary area in the family yard each dedicated to a family pet that has passed.
She is preceded in death by the sudden passing of her loving husband Joseph Lombardi, Sr. on April 22, 2026.
Kathy is survived by her loving children Paul, Sean (Kim) Joe Jr. (Ranae) Cheri ( Howard) her cherished grandchildren Justine (Keith), Paul Jr, Zack (Brittney), Cody (Kylie), Molly, Bentley (Adain), Joey, Garrett (Olivia),Jillian and Emma , her great grandchildren Aubree, Amelia, Londyn, Charlie, Layla, Lucas and future baby to Bentley & Aidan coming 11/11/26.
