Karl
Geiger
October 15, 1952 – January 31, 2025
We are saddened to announce the passing of Karl Geiger, a man defined not only by his love for life but also for the joy and laughter he brought into the lives of those around him. Born on October 15, 1952, in Springfield, MA, Karl was a passionate and spirited individual who never shied away from an adventure or a chance to make someone smile. His jovial nature and warm heart made him a magnetic presence, transforming every gathering into a celebration of life itself.
Before Karl started his own business as a draft beer system service provider, he enjoyed working at Hoods and Sweet Life as a truck driver and advanced his career as a road supervisor. But his true passion always lay beyond the confines of his professional life. A lover of the outdoors, Karl was often found hunting and fishing in Vermont and New York, his spirit soaring with the freedom that nature provided. His love for motor sports found expression in his fondness for NASCAR and dirt racing, a passion he often shared with his beloved wife, Maryann, at the races in Oswego, NY. Karl's enthusiasm extended to football, and his love for boating on the Connecticut River, where he spent countless hours fishing. He was also a member of the Springfield Yacht and Canoe Club in Agawam, the Moose Lodge, and in his younger days played the trumpet in the St. George Olympians Drum and Bugle Corps.
Karl leaves behind a legacy of love and a large extended family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by the love of his life his wife, Maryann (Miranda), his sister Linda Geiger, sister-in-laws Tami Miranda and Rosemarie Belisle and her husband Greg and a brother-in-law Kevin Miranda, his aunts Joyce Geiger and Judi Hanley, his nieces and nephews Mikayla Casey and her husband Brandon, Cayden Herrick, Brinley Herrick and Delilah Casey, and many cousins and friends. Karl is predeceased by his parents Harry and Claire Geiger, his brother Eric Geiger, and niece Angelina Herrick.
Donations in Karl's honor can be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
