It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John David Wilkie, who departed this life on December 10,2025, at the age of 78. John was born on August 10, 1947, in Holyoke Mass to the late Harry and Dorothy Wilkie.

As a veteran of the U.S. Army, John served his country with honor and integrity. In addition to his professional achievements, he was a proud committed member of the Teamsters Union, Local 404 for 25 years. John's infectious laughter and unending humor brought joy to everyone around him. John was an avid golfer and could always be found at the Agawam Municipal Golf Course. He was a Nascar fan who spent his earlier days at Riverside Park Speedway in the pits contributing his time and skills as a mechanic for many years and always enjoyed reminiscing about the fond memories there.

John was a devoted father to his two sons and their partners John E. (Lannette), and Chris (Jennifer). A grandfather to four, Caleb, Brett, Camryn and Shaelyn. A beloved brother to Robert (Lois) and Cynthia and a loyal friend to many. John was preceded in death by his brother Jeff, brother-in-law George, and grandson Shane.

John's kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.

Visitation with his family will begin at 8:30 A.M. on December 17,2025 at the Agawam Funeral Home concluding with a service beginning at 10 A.M. Committal with full military honors will be held at 11 A.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
