The family of John (Ronnie) Wagner sadly announces his peaceful passing on January 26,2026 in the comfort of his loved ones. Born in Bayard Nebraska on April12,1937 to the late John and Hazel (McRae) Wagner, he spent his youth and was educated there. Ronnie went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Air Force. After his tour of duty John settled in the area marrying the love of his life Dolores Berard in 1959 and beginning their life together and welcoming their family. Ronnie had a very successful career in the transportation industry as a truck driver, retiring after a successful career with Shaffer Trucking. Ronnie was a true outdoorsman who loved camping and fishing. He looked forward to spending the entire Father's Day weekend fishing. And the perfect vacation was spent at Lake Champlin with his family by his side. Ronnie took great pride in his yard, keeping an impeccable lawn and tending to garden. He was an avid New England fan cheering on both the Red Sox and the Patriots. He was a man of simple pleasures who valued hard work and was fiercely devoted to his family. He will remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Surviving Ronnie is his devoted wife, Dolores and his loving children, Butch and his wife Cheryl, Jim and his wife Holly, and Mike and his partner Lynn Ann Dupuis. To cherish his memory, he leaves his adored grandchildren, Kerry, Carin, Jack, Erik, Tom, Matt, Hanna and great grandchildren Lucia and Bryson. He is also survived by his brother Raymond Wagner as well as a large extended family and many friends. All services will be held Saturday April 18,2026 Calling Hours from 10-12 with a Funeral Home Service at 12 noon. Burial will Follow at the Springfield St Cemetery with full miltary honors fron the US Air Force. Memorial donations in John's name may be made to St. Jude Hospital for Children or the Wounded Warriors Project.
