She has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much. The family of Joanne Marie Simone, with deep love and respect, announces her peaceful passing on June 22,2026 at her long-time residence in Agawam. Born in Springfield to the late Raul and Anna (Barry) Cognac, she spent her youth and was educated there graduating from Cathedral High School. Joanne went on to become a devoted wife and mother and took great pride in creating a warm, nurturing home for her family. She had the strength and determination to instill the important values of life in her children. Joanne looked forward to her boys growing into young men expanding her family and providing her the opportunity to host gatherings and spend quality time with them.

Prior to her retirement Joanne was the parts manager for Dana Chevrolet. Her outgoing nature along with her cooperative spirit contributed to her success in this position. In her leisure was an avid reader and Red Sox fan rarely missing a game. She enjoyed going on cruises and was always enthusiastic about having a lobster dinner. Her favorite sport was bowling as she and her late husband Guido were active participants in many leagues and competitions. Joanne approached life with a smile on her face and a generous heart. Those who were fortunate enough to be in her life will carry her memory forever.

Surviving Joanne are her devoted children; David Pepin, Maurice “Butch” Pepin (Denise), Daniel Pepin (Paul), and Scott Pepin (Cheryl). Guido Robert Simone ,Martha & Brian Klasanis and Alex to cherish her memory, she leaves her beloved grandchildren Christine and Richard and nieces and nephews. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband Guido, and siblings Marylyn Goda and Ralph Cognac.
