Jeffrey W.
Hulbert
June 21, 1966 – April 28, 2026
With sadness and love, the family of Jeffrey W. Hulbert shares news of his passing on April 28, 2026. Jeff was born in Orange, California and spent his early years in Tustin, CA before his family relocated to Connecticut. Jeffrey raised his family in Longmeadow, MA with his late first wife, Monique. Most recently, Jeff lived in Wilbraham, MA with his wife, Julie Ann LeClair.
Jeff was a valued member of the Town of Agawam staff, where he worked as IT Director until his recent retirement. Jeff spent many years as a World War II reenactor, where he earned the affectionate nickname "Wild Man." With his wife Julie Ann, Jeff filled his life with shared adventures and curiosity.
Jeff was generous in spirit, quick to smile, and always ready to support those around him. He was happiest in simple joys—on a sailboat, at the top of a mountain, by a lake, eating novel food or with a cat settled in his lap. Jeff was known for his clever turns of phrase, which his family fondly call 'Jeffisms.'
Jeff leaves his enduring love to his children, Alex Hulbert (wife Nikki) and Red Hulbert. He is also survived by his sisters, Ann McAdoo (husband Roy) and Kathee Phelps (husband Jim). He is predeceased by his brother, James "Terry" Hulbert.
Jeff's kindness, humor, and quick laughter live on in all who knew and loved him.
A service for Jeff will be held on May 16, 2026, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Road, Collinsville, CT 06022, beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception and refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holyoke VNA Hospice or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
