Obituary

Peace, love, and sandy feet. The family of the loving, courageous woman Janice M. Truelove is profoundly heartbroken as Janice lost her battle and returned home to heaven on Sunday February 1,2026. Born on October 2,1959 to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Kane) Caramazza in Springfield, she spent her youth and was educated in Agawam graduating from Agawam High School class of 1977. Janice went on to attend Elms College before beginning her career in the education field. She was a successful member of Agawam School System team working as an executive assistant. Janice was a positive influence greeting each day, no matter what the challenge, with a cheerful outlook and a smile. She was kind, considerate and always thought of others. The beach was her happy place, especially the beach at Smugglers on Cape Cod. She was an avid shopper, enjoyed Keno and had a passion for Hallmark movies. Christmas was her favorite holiday but any time she could spend with her family and friends was very precious to her. She never lost hope or her faith in God. Janice believed and she loved without judgement or reserve. Her heart was full of love for her family and friends. She will remain in spirit with all those whose lives she touched.

Surviving Janice is her devoted and loving husband Jeff, her loving children Katie and her husband James Kelly, James White and his wife Daydra, Jeremy Miner, and Joshua Miner. To cherish her memory, she leaves her cherished grandchildren Brandan, Jaiden, Brendan, Jailyn, Gavin, her loving mother-in-law Kathy Truelove and her close friend of many years Joanne Miller and her children. She will be fondly remembered by her small extended family and countless friends. Sadly, she was predeceased by her parents and her beloved sister Shelia Sacco.

Visitation with her family will be held on Thursday February 12,2026 at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street beginning at 2 P.M. and concluding with a funeral home service beginning at 4:30 P.M. For those choosing to remember Janice in a special way the family respectfully suggests donations be made to Dakin Humane Society 171 Union Street Springfield MA 01105.
