Jane V.
Gaj
November 10, 1924 – May 13, 2024
Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend Jane Klich Gaj entered eternal rest peacefully surrounded by the comfort of her family on Monday May 13,2024. Born in Chicopee to the late Jan and Walerya (Jurkowska) Klich on November 10,1924, she was raised and educated there graduating from Chicopee High School. Jane went on to wed the love of her life, Max Gaj Sr., and they began the journey of their life together. They settled in Feeding Hills and welcomed their two sons. Jane took immense pride in creating a loving, nurturing home for her family and was meticulous in keeping her home. Her outgoing nature and fondness for people made her the perfect member of the wait staff of several area eating establishments including the Springfield Country Club for many years. In her leisure Jane had a passion for tag sales and crafts of all varieties. She could often be found at her favorite spot in Feeding Hills, Bob's Apples, greeting all the shoppers with her welcoming smile and a quick chat. She was a proud member of the Polish American Club and enjoyed bowling and bingo. Jane was a gentle woman with a generous heart and would always lend a hand to anyone in need. She was very conservative in her beliefs and values and loved without conditions with her entire being. She will remain in the hearts of those she loved forever.
Surviving Jane is her devoted son Robert and his wife Donna of Blandford. To cherish her memory, she leaves her beloved grandson John who was to her Johnny Angel and held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends. Sadly, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Max Sr and her cherished son Max Jr and her siblings Millie Butch, Freda Carlin, Tessia Balut, Marian Mattson, Frank Klich, Fred Klich and Walter Klich.
A funeral home service and burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be held privately for the family. For those wishing to remember Jane in a special way the family suggests donations be made to Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills.
