June 4, 1939 – January 16, 2025

Harold (Hal) R. Allen 85, of Longmeadow, MA passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Agawam, MA. He is the son of the late Harold F. Allen and Flora (Provost) Allen.

He served in the Marine Corp and was stationed at Camp Lejune. He worked in construction most of his life and was a jack of all trades, He also worked at Georgetown Condos in Springfield, MA as head of maintenance for many years and retired there.

He was previously married to his late wife, Bonnie B. Allen, and had five children and was also married to his second late wife Brenda C. Allen.

He leaves behind his five children, Peter (Judy) Allen of Texas, Suzanne (John) Szczepanek of Springfield, MA, Tracie Allen of Lima Peru, Kristin Allen of Lima Peru, and Shannon (Samuel) Allen of Lima Peru. Two sisters Nancy (John) Cooley of Feeding Hills, MA, Kathy (Gil) St. Piere of Westfield, MA, and a brother Kenny (Sue) Allen of Nevada.

He is predeceased by his brothers Robert, Gerald, and Steven and his two granddaughters Jessica and Jennifer Szczepanek.

Services will be held at the Agawam Funeral Home, Calling hours will be held on January 28, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, A funeral home service will be held at 1:00 PM followed by a committal service with full military honors at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
