Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Hatidani, who left us on January 28, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on November 13, 1964, in Harare, Zimbabwe, Gladys was a shining example of kindness and compassion throughout her life.

Gladys was the cherished daughter of Chipo Makwara and the late Andrew Mudiwa. She is survived by her devoted sister, Barbara (Ngonidzashe) Chigasa, and she was predeceased by her brother, Richard Makwara.

As a registered nurse at Chicopee Medical Center, Gladys dedicated her life to caring for others, embodying the spirit of selflessness and service. Her passion for helping those in need was evident in both her professional and personal life.

Gladys was a proud mother to Farai Hatidani and Chidochemoyo Hatidani and a cherished grandmother to Tre Vaughan. Her love for her family knew no bounds, as she tirelessly worked on big dream projects, striving to create generational wealth for her loved ones.

A vibrant soul, Gladys had a zest for life that was contagious. She loved to decorate, cook, and travel, often sharing her joy with those around her. Her humor and ability to make others laugh were hallmarks of her character, bringing light to every gathering.

Gladys Hatidani will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of kindness, humor, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
