Elaine R
Savard
March 10, 1943 – December 25, 2025
Beloved mother and grandmother Elaine R. Savard – lovingly known as Mimi by many – entered eternal rest surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on December 25, 2025.
Surviving Elaine are her devoted daughter, Deb, and her husband, Kevin Moore of Brimfield. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Taylor and her husband Colin Jette, Griffin Moore and his fiancé Kayla Clarke, and her treasured great-grandson Jude Jette.
Born in Holyoke on March 10, 1943, to the late Rolland and Germaine (Noel) Girard, Elaine called Hollywood Street in South Hadley home for most of her life. She worked in retail for many years at Pat's Supermarket. Elaine wed her beloved husband, Henry Ronald Savard, in 1962, and they spent 47 years happily married until his passing in 2009. They were soulmates, and Elaine's family is at peace knowing they are together once again forever. Elaine took immense pride in creating a loving, nurturing home for her family and fulfilled her role as a loving mother, wife, and friend. One of Elaine's most rewarding chapters in life was being a devoted Mimi to her grandchildren. She looked forward to every opportunity to care for them and instilled the important values of life in them: how to cook, laugh, and love. She loved her family unconditionally and was the greatest Mimi ever.
Always well-dressed, Elaine kept a meticulously styled home, grew the most beautiful blue hydrangeas, loved reading, vacationing on the Cape, and enjoyed dining out with friends and family. She will remain in the hearts of those she showered with love forever.
Visitation with Elaine's family will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 12 - 1 P.M. at the Agawam Funeral Home (184 Main Street), concluding with a funeral home service beginning at 1 P.M. Committal will follow at 2 P.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
