Brenda Lee (Theres) Dunley passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2025, at the age of 68. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Kristine and Kaitlin Dunley, as well as Angel Laura Jean, who passed away at birth. Brenda is also survived by Kaitlin's partner, Ryan Guhne; her former husband and father of her children, Tim Dunley; her Aunt Jean Graziano; her cousin Carla & husband, Craig Hoctor, along with their children & grandchildren; her cousins Mark Jakubiec & partner Pam, Dean Wetherwax, and Scott Graziano; and many cherished friends, including Teri Stenta, Pete Sullivan, Lisa Parker, and the rest of the beloved Ya-Yas. Her Aunt Judie Jakubiec joined her in heaven shortly afterward.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Shirley Theres of Springfield; her dearest grandmother, Vera; her uncle Joe, and many other dear family members.

A proud graduate of Classical High School, Class of 1975, Brenda built fulfilling careers in banking, real estate, and the restaurant industry. She found joy in the company of her many friends, spending hours tending to her zinnias in the garden, and unwinding on the beach. Brenda was a devoted mother, a reliable friend, a wonderful companion, and a resilient woman.

Brenda left us far too soon. Though her presence is deeply missed each day, her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit will forever remain with those who knew and loved her.  Please join us for services - to be held on her birthday weekend, May 17th, at 1130 AM at Saint Michael's Cemetery in Springfield.
