Obituary

Bonnie Lee Morris, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. Even through her final days, Bonnie maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, and love, for her family, friends and those around her. Bonnie was born on August 18, 1947, to the late Alice (Menard) Carter and the late Ernest King.

She was raised in Enfield, CT. In 1967 she married Wayne Morris of Agawam. They lived in Feeding Hills for over 40years where they raised their two children Paul and Shelly. After retirement, they spent several years at their home in Wellfleet, MA and winters in Florida, until they settled back in West Springfield in 2014. Bonnie enjoyed a 20+ year career as the faithful Store Manager at Building 451 in Agawam, then selflessly cared for others as a home health aide before she retired in 2002. Over the years, she made countless friendships with fellow employees and many of her regular customers. Bonnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend and wife. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, dining with her friends, and spending time on Cape Cod. Bonnie leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Wayne.

She is survived by her son, Paul of Littleton, Colorado, and daughter, Shelly of Easton, MA, who adored her, as well as her daughter in laws Meghan and Beth; and her greatest joy, her grandchildren, Vienna (11), Tyler (9), and Jack (16). The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Renaissance Manor in Holyoke for their amazing care, compassion, and kindness over the past several weeks.
