Ashley
Poitras-Marrerro
August 22, 1988 – April 6, 2026
Her laughter echoes in our hearts reminding us to cherish every fleeting moment. It is with profound sorrow that the family of beloved Ashley Poitras-Marrero announces her untimely and devastating passing on April 6,2026. Born to Juan Marrero and Claire Poitras on August 22,1988 in Springfield, Ashley spent her early years in West Springfield. After graduating from West Springfield High School Ashley went on to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse and was currently an esteemed member of the staff at Noble Hospital. Not only did she thrive in her career, but she also experienced the joys of motherhood and was the proud mother of her two sons, Brayson and Gabriel. She possessed dedication and patience and was willing to sacrifice to be the best as a nurse and a mother. Her drive to take care of those around her was epic and she was always willing to help those in need, exemplified by her commitment to be an organ donor. Her loving spirit extended beyond those in her life to animals as well. Pink symbolizes love, compassion, nurturing, and femininity, evoking feelings of warmth, tenderness, and emotional healing. And her favorite color was pink and so fitting. This speaks to who she was and how she lived. Her smile was uplifting and genuine and her laugh unforgettable. She loved those in her life especially her boys unconditionally and gave fully of herself. Her presence will remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Surviving Ashley are her loving parents, her devoted partner Zach Nugent, her cherished children, Brayson Poitras, Gabriel Poitras-Nugent, and her beloved siblings, Liana Poitras-Marreno and her Niece and Nephews , Andrew Trask, Adrianna Poitras and William "LB" Day. She will be greatly missed by extended family and countless friends.
Visitation with her family will take place on Wednesday April 15,2026 from 9 until 11 A.M. at the Agawam funeral Home 184 Main Street concluding with a service beginning at 11 A.M. For those wishing to remember Ashley in a special way the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Springfield.
