Obituary

April Thelma Bernier was called home safely on September 11,2025, taken too soon and greatly loved by her family and friends. Born to Frances Rogers Hoxsie  and Allan Bernier on November 19, 1973 in Norwich CT, April relocated originally to the area in 1986. April attended and graduated from Clarke School for the Deaf in Northampton. April was very adventurous and spirited in her youth and continued her quest always seeking to be abreast of the current news both locally and worldwide. She was gifted with a sweet demeanor and sense of humor which contributed to her being the life of the party. Despite her limitations, April loved life and her family, accepting the challenge of each day with a smile and great resilience. She will be not only missed but forever remain a shining light in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.

Surviving April is her loving mother Frances Hoxsie and her devoted sister Constance St. Pierre (James) and brother Allan Bernier ll. She also leaves her beloved children, Eric "Ricky" Osgood Jr., Raven Jimenez and was adored by her grandchildren Amelia, Ava, and Isaiah. April shared many fond memories as an Aunt to Amber, Avery, and Ashley, as well as extended family and friends. Her family would like to express their deep gratitude to her devoted case workers from Viability and Devoted caregiver Chastity Saez. She was predeceased by her father Allan Bernier.

Visitation with her family will be held privately at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street. Burial will also be held privately for the family. Memorial donations in her name may be made to Mass State Assoc of the Deaf.
