Agnes T
Keane
September 16, 1944 – November 20, 2025
The family of Agnes T. Keane is deeply saddened to announce her peaceful passing on November 20, 2025. Agnes bravely fought many health challenges over the last several years with the love and support of her devoted sister Lillian Cecchi. Born on September 16,1944 to the late Armand and Irene (Deschamps) Trombley in Springfield, she spent her youth and was educated in Agawam. She wed her husband James, and they spent forty-four years together until his passing in 2010. Agnes was a doting mother to her two children creating a loving, nurturing home for them instilling the values that would carry them through life. She was also a valued member of the manufacturing team at both the former Buxton and Eptec companies. Agnes took great pride in her family, her home and her work. She and James spent many happy years together sharing a passion for horse racing and casino visits, especially trips to Las Vegas. They also loved attending stock car races at the former Riverside Park and looked forward to each event. But above all, Agnes took immense pleasure in each and every time she could be with her family. She loved them without limits and was fiercely loyal. Her bond was steadfast and her devotion unprecedented. She will forever remain in their hearts.
Surviving Agnes is her son Michael and his wife Kathy and their son Michael Keane Jr. of Maine and her devoted sister Lillian. She will be greatly missed by her many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, especially Daniel Koznowski with whom she had a special bond and her good friend Hannah Provost. Sadly, she was predeceased by her beloved husband James, her loving son James, her sister Barbara Trombley and her beloved nephew Anthony Cecchi. The family expresses their profound gratitude to the staff at Mercy Medical and Agawam North with special thanks to Paula, Mandi and Marilyn for the loving care and compassion shown to Agnes.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday December 2,2025 at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main Street from 4-6 P.M. concluding with a service beginning at 6 P.M. Burial will be held privately for the family.
